Roses room

Infants

6 months – 18 months

A home away from home for our youngest scholars, where free movement replaces playpens and early language begins.

The Future Scholars Montessori Academy Infant Room has been designed to suit the needs of children 6 months through 18 months.

Following the teaching of Maria Montessori, there are no playpens in the Roses room. Instead the children are free to move about, exercising their gross motor skills and becoming aware of their bodies. Through this, the Infants learn co-ordination and dexterity without inhibitions. The room is set up, so that maximum exploration of textures as well as objects offering tactile and visual stimulation can occur.

Early language development begins at this stage as well. The teachers make a conscious effort to introduce language into the program through speech, songs, stories etc.

We want to make this, the first step in your child's intellectual career, the best it can be. To this end, FSMA is committed to making the Infant program a home away from home, full of love, care and intellectual stimulation.
